Stealing the Bloom Farm Company approached Steven Noble to create an illustration with a slight humorous twist that includes a jumping sheep with ribbons and a flower in it’s mouth. The illustration was created in a scratchboard woodcut style. Their farm name was inspired by a passage in The Modern Husbandman Vol 4 by William Ellis. The phrase describes the fortunate occasions when ideal environmental conditions led to crops blooming quickly and being overtaken suddenly by fruiting, as if overnight the blooms were stolen. This was considered to be a sure sign of a plentiful crop.
